Rhondda Cynon Taf is inland, but its developing local food strategy connects the county with a much wider Welsh food supply. Seafood is part of that picture through fresh fish and shellfish brought in from the Welsh coast and handled around Talbot Green. Live crab, wild bass, plaice and seasonal catches sit alongside shellfish and samphire, bringing coastal produce into an area better known for its Valleys landscape than for seafood.
