Fresh vegetables from growers to Welsh kitchens from Welsh producers.
Neath Port Talbot’s Local Food Partnership is working to strengthen the local food economy, including new routes to market for growers and plans to increase the supply of locally grown vegetables. The county also has an established fresh-produce processing sector. In Pontardawe, vegetables are peeled, cut and prepared for restaurants, schools, care settings and other professional kitchens, showing how fresh produce moves beyond growing into local food-service supply.
