Brace’s Bakery is a fourth-generation Welsh family bakery founded in 1902 by George Brace in Pontllanfraith. Now run by brothers Mark and Jonathan Brace from Croespenmaen near Blackwood, the business produces sliced bread, rolls, Welsh cakes, tea cakes, crumpets and hot cross buns. A long-fermentation sourdough range named Ernest 100%, after George's son, was added in 2024 following significant investment in a dedicated production area at Croespenmaen.
