Honey in Blaenau Gwent
Beekeeping adds a small but distinctive strand to Blaenau Gwent’s developing local food network. The borough’s Food Partnership is bringing growers, businesses and community projects together around a more sustainable food system, while local beekeeping connects that work with pollination and the surrounding landscape. Honey produced through hives across South Wales includes traditional Welsh honey alongside hot and infused varieties, with beeswax also used for products such as lip balm.
