Castle Dairies

Castle Dairies is a family-run butter maker at Pontygwindy Industrial Estate in Caerphilly, producing Welsh butters and spreadable butters since 1966. Now run by the Lloyd family under managing director Nigel Lloyd, the business uses 100% British cream and all-natural ingredients. The range includes salted and unsalted block butters and a spreadable butter; the salted version is made in collaboration with Halen Môn sea salt. Both block butters won awards at the 2023 International Cheese and Dairy Awards, and the range also holds Great Taste Awards.
